Saturday Club

Our Saturday Club for children with special needs has been running in Hampton for over a decade. Our aim is to provide a safe, social and interactive environment for children, aged 8-18 years. Our club is open each Saturday during term time, 38 weeks a year.

Children get to spend time at their own ‘club’, whilst parent carers get a break, with the peace of mind that their children are joining activities tailored to their needs. Activities which might include cookery, games, sports and arts, as well as seasonal trips to the panto and other outings.

We can support both private places, and as a charity we fundraiser to be able to offer some charity places as well.

‘My son really likes coming to the Club, as he only has one friend within and outside of school. He looks forward to attending each week and has many more friends. He never wants to leave!’

Caring Mum

Football Team

Weekly training sessions are held during the Saturday Club. Each session lasts one hour and is delivered by a trained and qualified coach, including DBS checked.

We are looking to establish a Crossroads Football Team, capturing those children from ‘hard to reach’ backgrounds where their families have limited parental capacity for them to participate regularly in sport as as children with learning difficulties who possess and have a flare or interest in the glorious game.

We are currently looking for funders and supporters to bring this dream alive. And we are interested in hearing from local schools football clubs who might be interested in a game.

Weekly sessions are held during the Saturday Club, each session lasting for one hour and delivered by a trained and qualified, DBS checked Karate Sensai, who is affiliated with Busen, Twickenham.

We encourage children joining these sessions to also progress through the Karate grading system, achieving belts, qualifications and a real sense of achievement as they go.

‘I love taking part in Karate, I cant wait until I am good enough to go for my red belt. My mum will be so proud!’
